This is really hilarious. I sometimes log onto the British Born Chinese website to keep abreast of current affairs back in the UK. On one of the forums, it is plainly obvious that the guy who started this thread was taking the piss. I cannot believe some gullible people actually believed he was serious. I have to admit this wind-up merchant is good! Click here
Japan Trip: Sun 25th Jan 2004
This will be a quick one. Masa and Etsuko were supposed to take me to Nagoya Castle but we ended up chilling out at their apartment yet again. Yumi works at a bakery and gave me a selection of freshly baked bread which was a very nice gesture. Masa and Etsuko bought me some piping hot takoyaki (octopus dumplings) and a jar of seaweed paste that is eaten with rice.
I managed to copy the sticker pics that was mentioned in yesterday’s entry. Not exactly great but it provides a general idea.

Takoyaki and the jar of seaweed paste. Anna suggested a dap of mayonnaise on the dumplings.
For my last evening meal in Nagoya, Anna took me to a restaurant where a form of Asian tapas is served. A guy had passed out drunk on the next table but he had woken up before I could photograph him.
Mon 26th Jan
This was the day I left for Kyoto. Before that, Anna took me out to lunch in the area of Fushimi.
We took the underground train and I noticed this passenger’s fashion-statement trousers and footwear.
A snap I took at Fushimi station. The guys sitting on the seats all looked like they were sleeping.
Anna: “Can’t she hurry up and take the picture? I’m gonna be late for work.” Click. “Oh no! I wasn’t ready!”
Anna much prefers this pic. Admittedly, so do I.
Mmm. Nothing quenches that thirst like a bottle of sweat. I snapped this vending machine while waiting for my train to Kyoto.
My train to Kyoto.

re: movies
During my younger years, I loved Errol Flynn movies, Blade Runner, Breakfast Club, Beauty and the Beast, Pulp Fiction…
Of late, I have become more cynical, critical of the stuff being produced. I’d like to blame the industry but …I think I’m just getting old.
Right now I’m into Foreign films and movies that twist your emotions to shreds. Current top favs: Amelie, Shawshank Redemption, Moulin Rouge. Guilty pleasure: Fight Club, Ever After, Austin Powers
Hi, thanks for joining…how did you actually got to my profile? Take carez
I must admit I also like that particular shot of Anna. It’s very becoming!!
“Anna much prefers this pic. Admittedly, so do I. “
