Race Still On
Now that Super Tuesday is over and the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination is still a close race between Clinton and Obama, I’m wondering whether voters for Obama were subconsciously influenced by the series “24″?
Shades of President Palmer, anyone? Both the fictional President and the wannabe exhibit charismatic grace, adroit leadership, and an altruistic nature.
Just my imagination running amok yet again…

LOL…I’ve never seen it.
But had I, the answer would still be a most definite NO!
It’s like when Geena Davis played a female president on TV. If anyone was “influenced” by that, I hope they’re not voting!
sad to say, i’m not really up on the latest tv shows, not even 24…
White women are voting Hillary, the Black population are voting Obama, for those simple relational issues, nothing to do with the campaigns at all…
there’s a deeper issue behind the campaigning and rhetoric that is sad….
Promises are always made, but when the reality hits them of being in office…then the question comes around if that promise can ever be put into action.
Being an observer of these campaigns for years, I’ve noticed the all to often trend:
1. point out to the public the problems
2. point to source of the problem (i.e. if your running for office and your not the incumbent…then the incumbent is the source of the problem)
3. point out how the other candidates are not qualified, and that “you have a plan”.
4. repeat steps 1-3 (and whenever someone asks what “your plan” is…just point to your track record.
Yep…politics….in a nutshell.
the Manchurian Candidate….
I never saw any of “24″. The Obamamania is real, just watch a youtube of any recent speech. Happy New Year!!!
Is your friend doing any better?
