Well I Never
It’s been…er, quite a while since I’d last updated and astonishingly during that time, my blog has collected a few new subscribers. Even more bizarre was a photo I’d took in September of last year somehow propelled itself to xanga’s Front Page with 1,243 views!

Italy Trip 6th-12th September 2008
The Amalfi Coast would not be on my to-visit list if it weren’t for a wedding of a friend I have known since childhood. Before this trip, I had never visited Italy but the country remained on my to-see list as I’d gallivanted in faraway destinations. The major points of interest for me in Italy are Rome, Venice, Milan and Florence. Once the wedding was over, two friends and I headed to Naples to catch the Eurostar train to Rome.

Naples is the closest city to the Amalfi Coast and it was the point that all the wedding guests flew to. My friends and I didn’t arrive until around 9.30pm but then endured a 3-hour journey by taxi to the village of Praiano where the wedding was held. Our driver grew irate at the heavy traffic congestion then attempted an alternative route by seemingly driving all along the Coast, overshot our hotel and Praiano itself although it was quite dark, before arriving in Positano and performing a U-turn after words with a local constable.

Pompeii & Sorrento Monday 8th September
The bus journey from Praiano to Sorrento took an hour with scenic views to occupy the time. I’d took this shot pointing the camera out of the window as the bus negotiated a bend.
Then to get to Pompeii required a 30 minute train journey from Sorrento.
Side streets in Sorrento lined with shops.

hrm…. those food looks like some typical italian home cooking. but how they taste like? good?
Vesuvius???
I’ve been there two summers ago! Vesuvius, amalfi coast, etc. beautiful, eh?
Welcome Back! Positano is absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to gallivant again!
I have only been to Pompei, Naples and Capri, without the chance to visit Amalfi Coast. Wish I’ve got such a chance in my life.
I still remember the taste of Lemoncelo, for me it doesn’t taste nice, but it’s lasting in my memory.
I’ve glanced a bit of your blogs, really admire that you can go many places.
Isn’t Italy just indulgent? I love it so much. Amazing shots as always.
Props!
I kid, I mean the photos are lovely, as usual. I like how you make good use of the clouds in your photos.
