Everytime I go to visit a new country or place, the majority of exploring is done on foot. In addition, waking up quite early and retiring to bed very late is also the norm. Isn`t the point of a holiday is to relax and recharge one`s batteries for the return to the mundane routine once back home? I had had more sleep when I am not on holiday! Happily, harnassing energy has never been a problem for me when in a foreign country. Somehow, there is always reserve fuel in the tank for the extra mileage.
When I return to Amsterdam, another holiday will be required to recover from this one! Preferably on a beach this time.
My good friend, Richard, has moved his Chinese wedding banquet from February to March, making it THREE wedding invites for that month. One is in Singabore (intended spelling) at the beginning of the month, and an email was relayed to a friend, KS, that I won`t be attending. KS wanted me to go as he doesn`t want to travel alone with a married couple (his friends also) and his plan was to stay there for no more than three days and travel elsewhere. Why only three days as our bride-to-be friend now lives in Singabore? Because KS has been to the island before and yes, you guessed it, he found it boring. Plus, Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world and my finances are depleting at a rapid rate. There are so many goods and gifts clamouring for the attention of my wallet! It is literally a shoppers` paradise here in Tokyo.
The other wedding is in Liverpool towards the end of March but a decision has yet to be made, and Richard`s one on the 22nd in Derby, UK. Attending Richard`s banquet is a must as I had to miss his wedding as my relocation to Amsterdam was on that very day last October. Five wedding invitations for this year alone already! Too many!
