Ladies’ Nights “Discriminatory”

A New Jersey official has ruled that ladies’ nights are unfair and discriminate against men.
Offering free nightclub entrance and cut-price cocktails just for women is illegitimate, the official ruled.
Senior civil rights official Frank Vespa-Papaleo said eradicating discrimination must remain more important than business interests.
The decision, which carries the weight of a court ruling, could be applied across the US state.
The New Jersey official agreed with David Gillespie, a customer of a bar who claimed he was unfairly discriminated against because his gender prevented him from taking advantage of the discount.
‘Puzzled’
The owner of the Coastline bar and restaurant in Cherry Hill, the establishment at the centre of the case, said he was surprised by the ruling, but confirmed there would be no more ladies’ nights for the foreseeable future.
“I was puzzled,” Chris Mourtos told BBC News Online.
“In 26 years of having ladies’ nights on Wednesdays, we have only ever had one complaint. One complaint – and he won!”
He said that trying to balance the promotions was not an option.
“We tried a guys’ night years ago, but nobody turned up. No women came so the guys didn’t stick around.”
It’s about time! Personally, I’m sick and tired of having to attend a bar or a club on Ladies’ Night with female friends and they get free admission whereas I have to pay. On top of that, they either get at least one free drink or discounted drinks but I have to pay the full whack.
The amount of male attendance on these nights far outstrip the women and we all know why. It’s not like the majority of the women who do attend are looking to be picked up by dumbasses, and let’s face it, they really are dumbasses if they think they can pull albeit a good looking girl. The only thing they can pull on Ladies Night is the exit door on their way out. It’s these retards who attend en masse all the time who sustain the status quo and the only happy male is the bar/club owner. The women usually are on a girls’ night out and taking advantage of free admission and cheap drinks. Even a monkey can work that out. These pricks might as well be monkeys. Sorry, that’s an insult to monkeys.
La/Le Computer
A French teacher was explaining to her class that in French, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. ”House” for instance, is feminine – “la maison.” “Pencil”, however, is masculine – “le crayon.”
A student asked, “What gender is ‘computer’?”
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether “computer” should be a masculine or a feminine noun.
Each group was asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.
The men’s group decided that “computer” should definitely be of the feminine gender (“la computer”), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
The women’s group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine (le computer”), because:
1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but still can’t think for themselves.
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have got a better model.

I have two computers at home. One is named Lex and the other is named Artemis.

B. I NEVER go to the bar on a “ladies night” because I know what types of guys attend such nights and they aren’t the guys I’m interested in… though free booze is often REALLY hard to pass up.

Maybe it’s time for a guy to complain that he can’t enter the Miss America/Miss Universe/etc pagent, and therefore it’s discrimination… and get rid of the damn thing once and forever.

Hahahaha. Good one! Personally, I think the ruling in New Jersey is a crock. Discrimination against men? That’s like discrimination against whites (i.e. the Bahke [sp?] case against affirmative action). How can a group who has obvious power/authority be the target of discrimination? These guys are just going through their death throws as they begin to realize that they are no longer in power. Anyway, a computer has no gender because its main role is to solve the problems we wouldn’t have had if we didn’t have computers in the first place. If there were no women (or men), we would have one heck of a problem, especially on ladies nights! hehehehehhe

Finally…. redemption for all the men out there…. ya know what makes me laugh… all these women bitching and moaning about equal rights and “don’t open the door for me… i can do it my self”…. yadda yadda yadda…. but then they expect ladies nights as though their life depends on it… it’ll be interesting to see how this all translates in the future…

I had a bar (a wild one in a marina, not sophisticated in a city). Most nights it was quite full of men and a few women. One night a week it was ladies night. It was packed. A lot of the women were there to meet a man but they didn’t have the courage to say so and would just stick with their friends and act as though it were girls’ night out. Nice guys who talked to the women often got lucky (if you can’t talk the talk,haven’t got the face, you aren’t going to pull in a bar anyway unless you’re very lucky). But a lot of men would hang back all together doing the boys’ night out thing, loud, getting drunk and all that. Everyone wanted the same thing and no one knew quite how to get there.
But bottom line, it brought in the money.
LOL that’s so stupid…i have to agree with sandypms here…how often do girls really pay to get in to a bar/club anyway? and even if they DO pay to get in, more often than not, those dumb monkey-guys you speak of will buy drinks for them.
ladies night brings in the fellas, who follow the coochie like lemmings. even if they know they can’t get the girl, they’ll still try. you’re a guy – you know the deal.
I think it sucks that they took out the ladies night, but I also a, not one that has ever abused it or set my party nights to where I could drink free. I’m a cheap go out kinda gal, if I have to pay $10 to get…F$*k that, it’s not happening. I might as well drink at home in my backyard with my friends
